8Q7AK will be operational from Hotel Adaaran, Republic of Maldives from 5th January to 16th January 2011.It will be operated by Andrew, G7COD, on all bands from 80 to 12 metres including WARC frequencies using SSB and CW modes only.

 

Working conditions are an Icom IC7000, 100 Watts output to a 135ft multiband doublet and a 9m high Rybakov Vertical.

I will be QRV on 80 to 12 metres including WARC bands using SSB and CW.

I will be transmitting on the following times and frequencies +/- 10 kHz to allow for QRM.

 07:30 to 08:30, 09:00 to 10:30, 13:00 to 1500 and 17:30 to 18:00 UTC.

SSB 3.795, 7.063 MHz, 14.190 MHz, 18.133 MHz, 21.253 MHz and 24.953MHz.

CW 3.5003, 7.003 MHz, 10.103 MHz, 14.003 MHz, 18.073 MHz, 21.003 MHz and 24.893 MHz, +/- to allow for qrm.

As I expect the path openings to be of a short duration, please be courteous to your fellow radio operators and myself by not calling when I have acknowledged a station. I will endeavour to work through any pile-ups as quickly as possible so as to work the maximum number of stations in the limited time available.
